Michael Lunde

Michael Lunde is an Associated Partner of GrowthPhases®. He has almost 20 years of senior Business Development and Management experience. His main focus area is in the technical business-to-business segment as well as private equity. Michael specializes in emerging markets having lived and worked in Brazil, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and China.

Key focus areas include:

  • Growth of small to medium size industrial companies operating under tough market conditions
  • Establishment of joint ventures positioned for growth
  • Integration of Sales, Marketing and Product Development successfully extracting more value from the existing customer base and aggressively acquiring new clients
  • The use of cultural differences to establish and position products and
  • pricing in an optimum manner

Michael has worked 10 years for the East Asiatic Company holding senior positions, including the General Manager position in Beijing, China for Domino Coding Ltd. During 4 years Michael worked in East Africa with Procurement on behalf of various governments’ aid organizations as well as in Private Equity with CDC Capital Partners.

Combining his government and private sector experiences Michael has assisted companies and governments in establishing and concretely carrying out investments in emerging markets.

Michael holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, with Honors and a B.A. from the Copenhagen Business School in Economics and International Trade. Michael operates out of Basel, Switzerland.
