Scott Summerville

Scott Summerville is a member of the GrowthPhases® Alliance of Executives, Consultants and Industry Experts.

Summerville was Vice President, Global Industry Solutions at Rockwell Automation, a role he held from October 2007 to August 2008.. He had overall responsibility for the company’s global vertical/industry sales organization including large account management.

Previously, he was President, Rockwell Automation in Asia Pacific, a role he held from June 2003. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Rockwell Automation Greater China and was stationed in Beijing. During his seven years in these roles he led the company in significantly growing its business and presence across key vertical industry segments vital to China’s and the region’s development. He was widely recognized for his team-building and strategic approach to the company’s business in the region. Prior to being posted to Hong Kong in 1997 and prior to moving to Beijing, Summerville held a number of management positions in Rockwell Automation, including roles that put him in charge of infrastructure industry and overall market development. With over ten years of Asia experience, Summerville has a deep understanding of the region and its industries.

He joined Rockwell Automation in 1989, working in the company’s Government Business Division after ten years of sales and marketing experience at Murata Manufacturing. He was the chairman of the Integrated Systems and Controls Council of the Material Handling Industry of America from 1995-1997 and a member of the board of governors of the Hong Kong chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce from 2006-2007.

Summerville has a Master’s Degree in Management from the Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design from Miami University.
